By using Midi tuning tables, tuning specifications, and/or retuning keyboards, specific pitches may be assigned to particular keyboard positions. In this way conventional fingering or midi files may be maintained and hear as any required tuning of up to twelve different notes per octave at any one time. Some arrangements will also allow "on the fly " retuning.
